Gayatri Reksodihardjo-Lilley (LINI) receives the OFI Award 2014
(17.05.2014) The OFI Award aims at honoring a person, or an organization, for huge contributions to the ornamental aquatic industry. We honor contributions that go beyond of what may be expected of a person who just normally performs his or her job.
This year this Award was given by OFI Secretary general Alex Ploeg to Gayatri Reksodihardjo-Lilley at the World Ocean Business Forum in Manado, Indonesia, 14 May. Mrs. Reksodihardjo-Lilley is the founder and inspirer of the non-governmental organization LINI.

Mrs. Reksodihardjo-Lilley emphasizes that nature conservation and trade can go hand in hand and can support each other, if done properly. She supports the local industry in such a way that it will support the reefs and on the other hand supports the livelihoods of local fishermen in Indonesia.
She influences urges the industry to take nature conservation ideas into consideration in their trade. In her, we also honor the staff of LINI for their good work!
OFI supports LINIs vision and for this reason OFI cooperates with LINI and supports the organization. We call on everyone to support LINI in their good work for the aquarium industry! Support can be given in various ways, by direct help in the organization of LINI as a volunteer, but certainly also as a donor.
