BSAVA Congress 2021 invites you to its free Clinical Abstract Presentations
(10.05.2021) Over 125 Clinical Abstracts will be presented online as part of the BSAVA virtual Congress 2021 on 24, 25 and 26 May, via Zoom.
A diverse programme of clinical abstracts has always been an integral part of BSAVA Congress, where researchers alongside vets, vet nurses and practice staff share the latest research, unusual case reports and novel procedures. All veterinary professionals are invited to this free CPD event.
Over 125 presentations on a wide range of topics
The online sessions now spread over three days instead of the usual two will include topics such as oncology, orthopaedics, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, but also general practice, presented by the profession from around the world. Each session will be chaired, with an opportunity for Q&As following each presentation.
And there is something for everyone, with topics ranging from Slosh simulation in a computer model of canine syringomyelia (Clare Rusbridge), Decision making of euthanasia in dogs (Camilla Pegram), Pancarpal arthrodesis and antebrachial deformity correction using 3d printed osteotomy (Alba Rial) and Incidence and risk factors for feline mammary tumours (Phoebe Pickard Price) to Veterinary health information on hamsters (Kate Kim) and well over 100 others. The full programme is available online.
Expanded from two to three days
Joe Fenn, BSAVA Congress clinical abstracts chair, said: Building on the success of the 2020 BSAVA Congress clinical abstract sessions, we are delighted to have expanded our abstracts programme from two to three days, to accommodate the wide range of excellent submissions we received. By bringing interactive clinical abstracts to an international veterinary audience, we are providing clinical researchers with a unique opportunity to share their work with a global network of colleagues. The clinical abstracts will be held in two parallel sessions.
These sessions are suitable for audience members from across the small animal veterinary field who are interested in seeing the latest clinical research abstracts. The event is free to attend but places are limited, so book early to secure your place. Further information, including the full abstracts programme and booking information, can be found here.
Congress posters and webinars available until 22 May
Over 40 Clinical Abstract posters were hosted at BSAVA Virtual Congress 25th- 27th March 2021. Access to all scientific content including the posters is still available until 22 May, with the BSAVA Congress clinical abstract oral presentations concluding the event.
