The SEVC 2020 will become a virtual congress
Taking into account the health of the conference attendees, the speakers and the people dedicated to the congress, the organizing committee has recently made the difficult decision to cancel the SEVC congress in its face-to-face format, and turn this edition of SEVC 2020 into a virtual congress.
With this decision, apart from the purely sanitary issue (the most important), other aspects such as the new found travel restrictions, the extreme hygiene measures necessary, the certain decrease in attendees willing to travel to congresses, the travel bans imposed by many large multinational veterinary companies on their employees, and the decrease in the capacity of meeting rooms, have been studied thoroughly. The most logical and pragmatic decision is to move the congress to a virtual format for 2020.
This new virtual format logically implies the adaptation of the scientific programme that we had already designed for the face-to-face SEVC 2020 in November.
The virtual congress will be based on the following format:
- Online congress over 6 days (3-4-5-10-11-12 November)
- 3 virtual conference rooms every day during 4-5 hours a day.
- All scientific content will be available for a month to those registered on the congress platform.
- The conferences will be presented around 4:00 pm Spanish time.
- Speakers will be available to answer questions online.
- Each session will be made up of 30 minutes of lectures + 20 minutes of questions and answers with the live speaker + a 10 minute break.
- Round tables will also be offered online
- Workshops will be offered (with live transmission if conditions allow)
- Possibility to register to the whole conference or per session
- Virtual spaces for the exhibition, posters, games and social activities will be available for registered veterinarians.
